Cat Rescued By Firefighters After South Charlotte House Goes Up In Flames
PINEVILLE, NC - 7:00 PM / Just after 7:00 PM on Monday, June 16th, Mecklenburg County’s Central Dispatch received 911 calls reporting a house on fire in the 14000 block of Hawick Manor Way. Carolina Engine 1 arrived first to find smoke showing from the attic of a two story single-family residence. At 7:10 PM, the assignment was upgraded to a working fire.
Pineville Chief 12 arrived on scene and assumed command from Carolina Engine until a Carolina Chief Officer arrived on scene. Firefighters from multiple agencies worked cohesively to bring the incident under control. A control time was marked at 7:51 PM. During the incident, one cat was safely rescued from the home and reunited with its homeowners.
