CHARLOTTE FIREFIGHTERS CONTAIN COMMERCIAL FIRE AT ZAXBY’S ON SOUTH TRYON
CHARLOTTE, NC — On July 9th, 2025, Just before 5 PM, Charlotte Fire Communications “Alarm” dispatched a full assignment to the 7500 block of South Tryon Street for reports of a commercial structure fire. Engine 26 arrived first and reported fire showing from the roof of the Zaxby’s Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings restaurant.
A working fire was declared as crews initiated an aggressive attack on the one-story commercial building. Firefighters operated on the roof of the structure, working quickly to contain the flames and prevent further damage. The fire was brought under control without injury to civilians or firefighters.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Charlotte Fire Investigation Task Force.
