DENTON, TX — Denton Fire Department crews responded to a reported structure fire at The Loophole, a popular business in downtown Denton, around 12:00 PM this afternoon. A grease fire in the kitchen, had extended to a nearby countertop by the time crews arrived.
A full structure fire response was dispatched, including Battalion 2, Medic 1, Engine 4, Battalion 1, Truck 1, Engine 1, Engine 3, Ladder 3, and Engine 8. However, only Engine 1, Truck 1, Medic 1, and Battalion 1 arrived on scene before the incident was brought under control.
Firefighters from Truck 1 quickly entered the kitchen and used a fire extinguisher or a Can, to knock down the flames. The fire was contained within minutes, with no need for overhaul or ventilation.
Thanks to the quick action by Denton fire crews, the fire was limited to a small area and no injuries were reported.
