7/29/2026 - Passaic River Water Rescue Leaves 2 Dead

At around 18:30 the Passaic Fire Department was alerted to reports of missing children in the Passaic River near Pulaski Park, the department responded along with a massive mutual aid response from Passaic, Bergen and Essex Counties. Many departments brining boats, drones and manpower to the scene. One of the missing persons, identified to be an eleven year old girl was able to get out of the river and per reports is now safe and mostly un-injured, As of 21:49 the crews on scene have found the body of a ten year old boy and on Friday the 31st the other little girl was found.
