Paterson 2nd Alarm Structure Fire

On the ninth of July, at 16:59, the Paterson Fire Department was dispatched to 376 Getty Avenue for report of fire. On arrival, Squad 6 reported two and a half story wood frame with heavy fire and exposure problems. A second alarm was requested on arrival. Passaic Ladder 1 and the Passaic Safety Battalion Chief responded to the scene, with various departments from Passaic and Bergen county providing house coverage for the Paterson Fire Department. The North Jersey Fire Canteen also responded. Two firefighters were transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. The main body of fire was knocked at 17:46 and crews began overhaul. At 18:35 Passaic Ladder 1 was released from the scene. At 18:51 command reported companies packing up, primary and secondary search complete and negative, companies were able to call available upon their leisure.
