Paterson 3rd Alarm Structure Fire

The Paterson Fire Department was dispatched to 53 E 16th St at ~18:15 for a possible fire. On arrival Engine 2 reported a 2 and 1/2 story wood frame residential structure with heavy fire from the rear extending to the attic with an exposure problem, they immediately requested a 2nd alarm. At ~18:21 command reported two lines in operation with the exposure to the delta now on fire, they started working on a water supply and primary searches. Battalion three continued to give assignments to the incoming units. At 18:22 the IC reported extension to the bravo exposure and requested a third alarm. At 19:24 it was reported all visible fire was knocked and overhaul was to start. The fire was marked under control shortly after. One firefighter was transported to the hospital for non-fire related injuries.
