Lewisville Firefighters Quickly Knock Down 2 Alarm Fire in Apartments

At 9:54 PM on January 5th, the Lewisville fire department was dispatched to a reported structure fire at the 200 block of Oak Knoll Drive. Truck 7 reported a smoke column visible from the station. After receiving this information, Battalion 1 struck a second alarm to get more resources rolling and mutual aid to backfill stations. Truck 7 arrived in 5 minutes and observed a large 3-story apartment building with fire showing from the second floor. By 10:13, Lewisville firefighters had brought the fire under control.
