New Jersey Cities Left Without Water After Water Main Break

Fair Lawn, NJ — Early Sunday morning, on August 24th, 2025, Fair Lawn and Patterson were advised about a water main break coming from the City of Patterson shortly after Fair Lawn residents began to report little to no water coming from their faucets.

Bergan Fire Coordinator decided that they needed tankers to supply Fair Lawn Fire Department in case of any fires due to hydrants being inoperable.

Bergan County has more mutual aid scheduled to arrive to help with any fires in the affected area.

This ongoing problem will most likely be resolved by Wednesday or Thursday of this upcoming week.
