Roadrage Shootout Leaves 2 Injured in Grapevine
GRAPEVINE, TX — On July 10th, 2025, at approximately 8:00 PM, Grapevine Police received a 911 call about a person with a gun who had fired into his vehicle while driving with his family, including 3 children, near the north Grapevine intersection of State Highway 121 N and Bass Pro Drive. Grapevine Police say there was an altercation on 121 between the two vehicles that led to a silver Infiniti firing into a pickup truck, and the driver of the pickup truck returned fire in self defence. Nobody was struck by gunfire, but a 7-year-old child and an adult in the pickup truck were injured by shattered glass caused by gunfire.
The driver of the pickup truck was directed to pull into the RaceTrac gas station located at 3955 Grapevine Mills Parkway. Grapevine Fire and EMS, along with Grapevine Police, arrived on the scene and transported the child to an area hospital. The adult was treated and released at the scene.
Police have made contact with the driver of the silver sedan, but the driver discontinued communication with law enforcement. At this time, it is unknown what charges may be filed, as Grapevine detectives are still conducting the investigation.
