Traffic Stop Turns Shots Fired, Chase Follows Ending in Plano

DALLAS - On April 19,2025, at approximately 1:30pm, Allen PD attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle on the 900 blk of Mcdermott Dr. Upon Stopping the vehicle, the suspect, Rick Reamy, 33, fired a long weapon at the officer, prompting the officer to fire back, hitting the suspect. Reamy fled into Plano where the pursuit came to an end with a successful spike near the intersection of Park and Coit. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident and was transported to a local hospital. This incident was further investigated by the Texas Rangers.
