SOUTHLAKE, TX — Southlake Fire Department crews responded to a reported structure fire at a two-story home around 12:50 PM this afternoon. Lightning struck the house, igniting a fire in the attic, according to a neighbor.
A full structure fire response was dispatched from multiple cities in the area.
Firefighters from Engine 401 Sprayed the home Outside with a handline and proceeded to knock down the flames in the attic. The fire was brought under control in around 1 hour. Truck 401, Engine 401, and Engine 402 remained on scene for overhaul and ventilation.
Thanks to the quick action by crews from Southlake, Grapevine, Bedford, and Westlake, the fire was limited to the second floor and attic. No injuries were reported.
