Caldwell Structure Fire

At 13:49 the Caldwell Fire Department was dispatched to 56 central ave for an active working structure fire. At 14:14 Caldwell over the county mutual aid channel requested a RIT team from Verona and station coverage for Caldwell, they advised they had Caldwell, West Caldwell, and Essex Fells on scene. The county fire coordinator was also dispatched. Verona responded as the RIT. Roseland Engine, Fairfield Engine, and a Cedar Grove Truck were dispatched for coverage, Cedar Grove was unable to provide a truck for coverage so a Montclair Truck was dispatched in its place. Additionally Bell and Sirens was dispatched at 14:25 but was cancelled at 14:27. At 14:30 the fire was placed under control per MAC 9. At 15:20 house coverage was released as well as all mutual aid units from the scene.

2nd alarm Commercial Structure Fire in Hasbrouck Heights

At 19:11 the Hasbrouck Heights fire department was dispatched to 101 Industrial Road in Teterboro, the address is on the border of Hasbrouck Heights and Teterboro. At 19:12 the Wood-Ridge fire department was dispatched to the incident on working fire, at 19:14 a signal 1030 was issued for the incident. At 19:33 the Bergen county fire coordinators were requested to respond to the incident, at this time it was a 2nd alarms structure fire.

Montclair 2nd alarm Structure Fire

At 07:24 the Montclair Fire Department was dispatched to 629 Valley Road for reports of smoke condition per the Montclair Police Department, who were there to investigate a burglary alarm. On arrival units first reported nothing showing but shortly after reported smoke coming from the second floor on the alpha side. There were initial reports of two people unaccounted for, Car 2 called for a 2nd alarm at 07:29. On the scene was Montclair Engine 1, Engine 3, Truck 1, Battalion 4, Car 2, Squad 4, Rescue 1, Utility 1 and later on Car 7 as the investigator. Montclair Ambulance Unit had an ambulance as well as the EMS supervisor. Mutual aid had a West Orange Engine, Orange Engine, Nutley Truck, Nutley Battalion Chief as well as Bells and Sirens on scene. For backfill there was a Bloomfield Engine, Clifton Engine, and a Cedar Grove Truck. The fire was marked under control at 07:57 with all crews still operating on the scene. Mutual aid units were released from the scene at 08:38, mutual aid from headquarters was released at 09:16. All Montclair units and bell and sirens with the exception of Engine 2 were released at 09:04. Squad 4 was released at 10:16 and command was transferred to the investigator.

Montclair Major Storm Damage - 6/7/2026

MONTCLAIR, NJ — At approximately 19:25 on Saturday, June 6th the Montclair Fire Department was dispatched to the intersection of Bellevue Ave and Park Street for a report of a tree down and a pole after being struck by lightning. Crews confirmed this report on arrival. At 19:56 it was reported that the wires were live and actively on fire, PSENG gave a two to three hour ETA on an emergent request. Due to the hazardous nature of the scene, the Montclair Fire Department has maintained presence at the location from 19:25 on June sixth to at least 14:40 on June seventh, nearly 20 hours as the location was not able to be declared safe.
